Portraits of Stone is a series that explores the unique history and formation of individual stones. Just as a portrait artist carefully studies a subject to reveal their character and personality, I closely examine the intricate lines, colors, and patterns created as minerals slowly fill fractures and cavities within the earth over thousands of years. Each stone bears the record of immense pressure, shifting landscapes, and the gradual crystallization of minerals. These geological processes create distinctive markings that I interpret as the stone's individual personality.
